Charlie Freeman, sidecar racer.

A recent photo I completed for a customer. They only requested a little colouring but I can never stop if I am able to restore small details that make the photo look better.
This is his dad, Charlie Freeman, who road in the World Class Sidecar circuit. The photo I discovered was taken around 1962 where unfortunately they didn’t make the race due to an accident.
This is a quote from a BMW club:

Ready for their second run after “tipping the plot” passenger Billie Nelson warms the Norton Manx outfit as Charlie Freeman, holding his helmet, looks on. Upside down at Gooseneck, the pair were non-starters for the race.
In addition to his passenger duties, Billie Nelson was a regular solo rider in TT and Grand Prix.

I removed some people shadowing the main characters so they could be seen more clearly, removed inclusions then partially coloured the photo as requested. Pretty good result considering the photo was very small indeed.

The photo below was a freebie to the customer. I like to do this when I have some spare time.
